Kameron Bayne, Photographer
With an educational background in philosophy, theology, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution, the first thing you may notice about Kameron is he’s awful at small talk.  But don't let that fool you!  He really enjoys getting to know people and has a gift for sorting out complicated ideas. A true artist at heart, the beauty he sees in life is inspired most by the invisible qualities of love, faith, and hope. Once behind the camera, his quiet presence becomes a source of confidence for our clients as they invite him into a small, but significant part of their lives.

Heather Bayne, Viewing Director
Heather is a genuinely caring, technical savvy, task accomplisher and problem solver (she used to take calculus classes in college just for fun!). With a positive and upbeat attitude, she heads up each viewing premiere. She also maintains the back-end of our computer systems, helps occasionally with retouching or album design and corrects Kameron when he mispronounces words.

Brenda Block, Client Relations
Disarming, outgoing and generous–Brenda loves people and can often be found chatting with anyone from the corner grocery store clerk to the CEO of a fortune 500 company. She will be the one to help you get acquainted with our studio and walk through the entire creation process. She’ll also be there at the end to ensure you had a wonderful experience working with us.

Tanya + Brandon | Maui Destination Wedding

Remember Tanya and Brandon?  I met them over a year ago for their engagement session and am incredibly happy for these two extraordinary individuals.  Brandon is cheerful, considerate and a man of deep character.  Tanya is a woman of rare beauty; she’s humorous, kind, courageous and strong.  Together, they make a perfect couple (or darn near close to it)!  On January 29, they were married on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Maui.  The celebration started with a luau feast the night before the ceremony and ended with an outdoor reception that quickly moved inside after rained poured down on us all!  But that didn’t spoil any of the fun.  The night was filled with an electric atmosphere, an impromptu dance party (complete with random strangers joining in) and several touching, heartfelt stories.  Their friends and family were great too — everyone made sure my assistant and I felt welcome and included and we certainly did.  It was an experience to remember and I’m thankful to witness the union of such love.  Congratulations Tanya and Brandon!  May your love grow as you grow old together, or as Jon McLaughin once said, “May the sparks in your eyes out live the lines on your face.”

Leanna & Paul Wedding

Paul and Leanna are a sweet couple with a warm family.  They were happily married on the hottest day of the summer at St. James Catholic Church with a reception at The Scoular Building Ballroom; we also stopped by the Durham Museum for some fun pictures.  It was a very special day for a number of reasons, 1). it was Justin’s due date so 2). the talented Geoff Johnson was on board to help photograph their wedding, and 3). it was also Leanna’s birthday.  Her family gave her a meaningful birthday gift and sung a little song based on the “I loved her first” single by Heartland.  To top off the evening, the reception was a full of a warm and spirited atmosphere thanks to James at Complete Music.  It was a very special day indeed!

Cory + Liz | Newly Wed Couple

Cory and Liz tied the knot October 24th at St. John Vianney and celebrated with a reception at the Embassy Suites LaVista.  As the last wedding for us this year, we went out with a bang!  It had all the right ingredients for a beautiful wedding day: a genuine & shared love, supportive family & friends, a beautiful ceremony, a gorgeous reception venue, and of course amazing chocolate cake (decorated with fresh raspberries in the shape of a Big Red Cornhusker “N”)!  The only thing that didn’t go according to plan was the weather – it started to rain right as we were set to do some outdoor pictures downtown.  But Cory and Liz had a great attitude and rolled with the hiccups.  With a little improvisation, we got some amazing images that I’m really proud to show off.  A big congrats goes out to these two and their new families – I wish you the best!

Emily + Josh

On October 10th of 2009, Emily and Josh were married in Nebraska City at Bethel United Church of Christ with reception at the Eagles Club. That was the day it snowed a couple inches in Omaha so I was a little worried how the weather was going to affect the day. But all the snow stayed clear of Nebraska City and (even though it was a bit chilly) we were still able to get some group pictures outside the beautiful old stone church.

It was a touching ceremony as Emily and Josh both teared up when they spoke their vows to one another; it was clear their love runs deep.  They also had a wonderful group of friends and family there to support and wish them well as they enter into marriage together.  Congratulations Emily and Josh!

Jodi & Jeff, Just Married

Jodi was incredibly sweet and gracious while Jeff was fun-loving and charming. On August 29, 2009, they were married at the Magnolia Hotel here in Omaha.  And I was so glad to be a part of it!  We booked just three days before the wedding (a record for me!) after they found out their scheduled photographer wasn’t able to make it.  Fortunately, all the stars lined up and everything effortlessly fell into place for a gorgeous wedding day.  My favorite part was the recessional that incorporated handfuls of flower pedals thrown into the air as they rushed through with their beautiful baby girl in arms as a real celebration of their new family together.  Congratulations!

As a special side note, Jodi and Jeff’s wedding was chosen to be featured on the local bridal magazine blog of Nebraska Wedding Day. Venue: Magnolia Hotel. Band: The Confidentials. Florist: Flowerama. Dress: David’s Bridal. Photogs/Assistants: Cara Bresette-Yates and Stephanie Kraft-Terry.

Katie + Kyle = Married

A few weeks before the wedding, Katie broke her ankle and we were all worried she might have to be on crutches most of the day.  But she had a great positive attitude and it healed well enough she could wear some cool white wedding sneakers!  So… on September 19, 2009, Katie and Kyle were married at the Ironwood Golf and Country Club.  The tone was set for a beautiful and memorable wedding day with an extra spice of fun (& my favorite Colossal Cookies).  We even did a photobooth at the reception to grab crazy and clever pictures of all the wedding guests.  Katie and Kyle sure do know how to start a party (and a congo line)!  Congrats you two!kameron-dg

Ashley and Brent

Ashley and Brent met over 11 years ago in high school and came back from California to get married in their hometown of Sioux City.  With their quick witted humor and genuine loving families, I really felt blessed to be a part of their wedding celebration – lots of laughter and tears!  They were married at Grace United Methodist Church and as they were getting ready, Brent was given a special wedding gift: a pair of stick shift cuff links.  They matched the vintage Chevrolet they drove off in afterwards.

The reception at the Marina Inn was gorgeous and hosted an awesome party that night.  Micheal Rueter, a crazy-fun loving and good-hearted photographer from Los Angeles joined us to shoot (check out this video of him photographing the dog whisper, Cesar Millan!) to make the day – and 7 hour road trip – even more memorable.  Good times!

Just Married: Travis & Natalie

When Natalie and Travis get together, fireworks start to fly!  They are the most emotionally expressive couple I’ve ever met, and the camera loves them for it.  Travis is “outgoing, charismatic, and easy to get along with” while Natalie is so emotionally transparent she literally glows when she’s happy – and she’s happy a lot when she’s around Travis.  They were married on July 18, 2009 at the Winter Quarters Temple with a reception following at Quarry Oaks Golf Course.  Inbetween we stopped downtown for a picnic lunch with the bridal party at the Heartland of America Park and grabbed some unique one-of-a-kind wedding images (we almost added some Ted & Wally’s ice cream to the mix, but we ran out of time for dessert). We ended up with a beautiful summer day — the light was great, the people were wonderful, kind and helpful — everything came together to make an unforgettable wedding celebration.  Congratulations Natalie and Travis!

Shooting with Geoff again at the Magnolia! The bride and groom rocked the day with their enthusiasm and high spirits – they shared the kind of joy that makes me proud to be a wedding photographer.  Check out this cool fusion video Geoff made with the latest 5D Mark II.  Over the last couple years Geoff has not only inspired me with his phenomenal photography, but with his generosity and expertise of the craft (check out his Foto-Flo Workshop for Lightroom).  Best of all, I’m grateful for his geniune friendship.  Cheers!

Back on May 24th, I helped photograph a Hindu/Jewish wedding with two extraorindary photographers: Geoff Johnson and Andrew Marinkovich (seen in the left middle picture).  It was a lot of fun because we all photographed Tanya’s sister’s wedding the year before (and now her sister is expecting a little one soon!).  The ceremony and reception were held here in Omaha at the Holland Performing Arts Center and it was a beautiful picture perfect day the wedding couple and their wonderful families.  I also had a lot of fun breaking out the tilt-shift lens – thanks Geoff!
