Thanks to the folks at Midwest Transaction Group for helping us get set up; we now have another payment option besides checks and cash. As of today, we can officially accept MasterCard and Visa. But that’s not all - within a couple weeks, it will be possible to do every transaction securely online with our new Skooks Kart Proofing System. We’re excited about this one, so we’ll keep you posted!
And the Winner is…

Congratulations to Bailee Becker, our winner of the Dinner for Two at Lo Sole Mio’s!
We had a great time meeting so many of you at the Bridal Show! After a lot of hard work preparing for the show, we were so glad to actually go, and meet so many new couples and hear some of their stories. We look forward to talking with many of you again in the coming weeks as you plan your weddings. We hope you guys all found some valuable information at the show!
We couldn’t have done this event without the help of our family – who gave up a solid chunk of their time hauling and setting up our booth. Or Brenda, who’s help made this whirlwind of an event fun, organized… and well, almost easy! We couldn’t have done it without you!
Here’s a snapshot of our booth. We didn’t have a chance to get great pictures, but here is one of our booth and a close up of our 4×6 promo cards.
…and it ends.

The Omaha Bridal Showcase is just around the corner (Jan. 6) and we’ve already received more inquires in these last few weeks than we have all year! We’ve been working long hours to prepare our booth (#13), and we’re excited to be a part of “the largest bridal show in the Midwest.” For a taste of what we do, we’ll be giving out special promotions and a “Romantic Dinner for Two” at Lo Sole Mio (pun intended). If you see us at the show, please stop by and say hello or pickup one of our new promo cards (as seen above)!
Omaha Bridal Showcase 2008

We’ve had a number of people asking if we’ll be at any upcoming Bridal Shows, and the answer is, “Yes, of course!” Our studio, Kameron Bayne Images, will be at the Omaha Bridal Showcase January 6, 2008 at the Mid-America Center, Council Bluffs, IA. It’s $12 to get in - not a bad price to see hundreds of different wedding vendors under one roof. It gives a bride a good sense of what’s possible for her wedding day. Plus the cake and catering people are always giving out free samples (Mmm, you might find me at the fondue table every once and awhile)! And this year, Joan Rivers will be emcee of the fashion show. Look for billboards and listen for radio ads around the city!
We will be giving away a “Romantic Dinner at Lo Sole Mio,” a highly rated and popular restaurant in our neighborhood. We’ll also be showing off our brand new and beautifully tailored Coffee Table Albums (from Leather Craftsmen)! If you come, stop by and say hello; we’ll be on the corner in booth 13.
Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce

Early this morning we photographed the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce staff for this year’s Christmas Card. We met at 8:15am in approximately 25 degree weather, across the street from the Quest Center with a view of downtown Omaha for the sunrise. Nothing says ‘Happy Holidays’ like folks who are willing to stand out in the cold for 45 minutes with smiles on their faces.
Seriously though, it was a good time with beautiful results. A big thanks to Kim, the organization’s Communications and Graphic Design Manager, for all her hard work in bringing the details together!

The 2007 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division II Volleyball National Tournament, that is. And Kameron Bayne Images is going to provide official photography coverage of the event (November 8-10). We’ll have a booth on display at the campus and an ad on the back of the program… May the best girls win!
The Omaha Bridal Show

I can’t believe a week has already gone by since the Omaha Bridal Show at the Holiday Inn Convention Center (72nd & Grover)!Kameron and I only found out about this opportunity a few weeks earlier. We didn’t have much time to prepare, but Kameron worked really hard, and several (absolutely wonderful!) people helped us out. We put together some sample albums and cool metallic prints for the background display we borrowed (thanks to David of Photography by David & Elizabeth). And Kathy Wolfe, a friend of the family, came out to support us just because she liked our work so much. Thanks Kathy!Although it all happened so fast, it was an awesome experience. At the show, we met some great people in the wedding industry; Amanda Wilson of Nebraska Wedding Magazine, Angela Brant of In the Details Events, Stewart Alexander of One Source Event Productions, and Vernetta Boston with InPlay. We also met other area photographers like Shane Dwyer of MDP Photography, Tammie Dickens of Imagery Photography, and Terry Cue of Images by TLC.We also met close to 60 brides (and a few grooms too) as they looked for ideas, vendors, and great food samples! There’s something electric about so many on the verge of marriage. This show reminded us of how much we love our jobs! We love photography: beautiful creative shots, timeless moments, the best technology, and finding new ways to translate the small as well as significant moments onto a page. But more than just photography, we love working with people during this time of their life. I love hearing stories of first dates, embarrassing moments, proposals, large and small families, fun traditions, and so much more. Talking to couples as they came through the show reminded me how fun it is to be in the wedding photography business! We didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the booth, but here are some of our new Fine Art Album we brought with us.

To those who came to the show, I look forward to getting a chance to know you better. If you would like a chance to meet with Kameron and/or me to see products, prices, or get more information, please call! 402-884-2228 We would love to hear your story, and see if our photography is right for you!

PPN 2007 Fall Conference
September 18, 2007 | Filed Under Daily Life, Studio News | Leave a Comment
The PPN, or Professional Photographers of Nebraska, is an affiliate organization of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), this weekend was the fall conference in Grand Island, NE. I drove out with Will and we stopped to take some pictures along the way…

The actual conference was a blast too! I met some great local photographers like Keith and Holly Howe of Photographic Images in NorthPlatte, Jeff Bauman of Bauman Photography in Lincoln, Bob and Angie Alberts of Fowler Photography in Ogallala, Jessica Galaska, Shane and Erin Melenbacker of Melenbacker Photography from Kearney, Ron Deyo of Deyo’s Photography, and more. A special thanks goes out to J. Michael McBride for introducing me to such a friendly, welcoming and inspiring group of people - thank you! I also met a great bunch of vendors from Unique Photographic Equipment, Miller’s Professional Imaging, ACI (American Color Imaging), and Burrell Colour Imaging. But the best part of the conference was Bryan Welsh of MIT Studio in Oregon and Mike Fulton of TriCoast Photography in Texas.Bryan was a deep thinker and amazing communicator - I gained so much from listening to him describe the process of creativity, from conception to formation to an end product that’s treasured by our clients. Sometime later, I’ll have to devote a post to fleshing out his ideas because they really moved me. Mike was a typical guy’s guy - a little rough around the edges, but yet extremely relationally astute and just plain fun to be around. He had a system for on-location, studio-quality lighting that just blew me away - suddenly the doors that limit the possibilities of the still image have been opened. Thank you Mike and Bryan!
