Kameron Bayne, Photographer
With an educational background in philosophy, theology, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution, the first thing you may notice about Kameron is he’s awful at small talk.  But don't let that fool you!  He really enjoys getting to know people and has a gift for sorting out complicated ideas. A true artist at heart, the beauty he sees in life is inspired most by the invisible qualities of love, faith, and hope. Once behind the camera, his quiet presence becomes a source of confidence for our clients as they invite him into a small, but significant part of their lives.

Heather Bayne, Viewing Director
Heather is a genuinely caring, technical savvy, task accomplisher and problem solver (she used to take calculus classes in college just for fun!). With a positive and upbeat attitude, she heads up each viewing premiere. She also maintains the back-end of our computer systems, helps occasionally with retouching or album design and corrects Kameron when he mispronounces words.

Brenda Block, Client Relations
Disarming, outgoing and generous–Brenda loves people and can often be found chatting with anyone from the corner grocery store clerk to the CEO of a fortune 500 company. She will be the one to help you get acquainted with our studio and walk through the entire creation process. She’ll also be there at the end to ensure you had a wonderful experience working with us.

Meet Emily and Lou.  Together they’ve got a great sense of style, positive charismatic energy, and a real and inspiring connection with each other.   They’re also professional photographers in their hometown of Tucson, Arizona!  Needless to say, I had a lot of fun working with them and can’t wait to do it again on their wedding day in 2010.  Good times!

Emily and Josh, Engaged

Emily and Josh are getting married! To celebrate their engagment, we traveled to their home town of Nebraska City and created some images in meaningful locations to them. We started out at a nearby park to play with their dogs, followed up with the Lied Lodge where he proposed to her, and we finished the night with a few golf swings and a beautiful sunset.

Meet Liz and Cory! We met at the gallery space to talk over some ideas and ended up walking around a park in the Boys Town area. We played a little fetch with their dog (Jordan captured that great moment above!), and later changed into a finer wardrobe for a stroll in the gardens.  At the end of the night, we attempted to capture the fireflies dancing in the background with some experimental nighttime photography.  Thanks to Cory and Liz for their patience while I figured out how to make pictures in the dark – hopefully it was worth the bug bites!

Katie & Kyle, Engaged

Katie and Kyle are getting married this fall!  Katie works in PR for the Boy Scouts, and Kyle owns a branch of the most fabulous cookie company in the midwest: Eileen’s Colossal Cookies. They are the coolest; they came up with this great idea for the shoot and planned to go camping at Mahoney State Park but the weather just wouldn’t cooperate.  First time around, we were rained out. Bummer!  Second time around, it was so hot outside we had to rearrange the plan mid stride.  And then it started raining again… for a moment, it seemed like the entire world was against us.  But Katie and Kyle were cool and didn’t give up.  Shortly afterwards, the rain cooled the tempature way down and the sky cleared up just in time for magic hour to give us a beautiful sunset!  It’s like we witnessed a small little miracle together.  I hope this is a sign of good things to come for their wedding day.

Liz and A.J. are just darling together! She’s a creative graphic designer and he’s a laid back guy who is “goofy in love.” I really enjoyed my time with these two delightful people – while we were shooting, they would name the fonts of billboards and the signs we passed by. Like two puzzle pieces, they fit together so well, and I couldn’t be happier for them!

A couple weeks back, we did the engagement session in the Old Market in Omaha and on June 6th, we photographed their wedding reception at the Nebraska Club on the 20th floor of US Bank (they were married a couple days earlier close to the beach several states away).  Above are a few of my favorites and of course, we also had a lot of fun with the photobooth setup – check it out here.  Thanks to Stephanie for taking most of the photobooth pix (even got one of me and Dave – he hates having his picture taken!).kameron-dg

We met Travis and Natalie in Lincoln for their engagement session. It was a beautiful day, and we traveled across town to several places significant to their relationship. It was great fun for us to discover a wide range of new places to make photographs. Travis and Natalie are really enjoyable to spend time with; they are expressive, joyful, and their “how we met” story is like one right out of a novel. I think Kameron captured some beautiful and romantic images!heather-dg

Brandis and Nick

I really enjoyed getting to know Brandis and Nick for their engagement session. Self-described “opposites,” they were full of good conversation and light-hearted fun.  One of the things they enjoy is cooking together.  So after a stroll in the Old Market and a walk in the park, we took pictures preparing a dinner dish in their kicthen. And man, it smelled good!  The even shared a plate with my assistant and I!kameron-dg1

Melanie + Ricky

couple, engagement, candid, holding on another

Last weekend turned out to be a beautiful time for an engagement session. We knew it was going to be bit chilly, but with the wind chill it was downright cold with frostbitten fingers! Thankfully we took several breaks at Rick’s Boatyard Café (their first date!) to warm up and chat a bit. We also created some images outside the Orpheum Theather and inside the Magnolia for some fun variety of their dating history.  I really enjoyed getting to know Melanie and Ricky as they are a wonderful and beautiful couple – inside and out.  The wedding is just a couple months away (the first on our schedule) and there’s no doubt it will be a day to remember!

During our plans for the shoot we decided to emphasize the idea of an image series and photographed accordingly.  In post-production, I had so many sequence images I thought I’d do a little fusion type experiment to celebrate the connection between Melanie and Ricky.  For me, this kind of “still motion video” has the subtle sense of nostalgia and anticipation – that wonderful combination of the comfort of familiarity with the excitement of something new and hopeful.  The whole process was a lot of fun; if you haven’t already, check it out!kameron-dg

Tanya and Brandon

We stayed in the Old Market, close to their downtown loft and made sure Newman, the family dog, was in a few too. The weather was cold and froze our fingers, but we were warmed by the glimpse of their commitment to each other. Even in the midst of life’s struggles and painful circumstances, we’re always inspired by couples who choose to love.

On Top of the City

Kameron Bayne Images - Omaha Engagement Session, Omaha Wedding PhotographyKameron Bayne Images - Omaha Engagement Session, Omaha Wedding PhotographyIt was a goregous day with perfect spring weather for pictures!  For Brian and Christi’s engagement session, we went to the restaurant where they had their first date. We walked around the old market and ended on top of the First National building to see the sunset… It was a breath-taking experience (literally – I was clinging to the side of the wall)!  Thanks guys for putting that together; it was worth it, we got some great images.  See you soon for the viewing premiere!
