Welcome to our blog! Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Kameron Bayne Images, Inc. is a professionally trained, award winning, creative and relational-driven photography studio. We are available for worldwide travel and aspire to create cinematic images with a soul, depth, and geniune character.

Although life extends far beyond our jobs, we are humbled and filled with gratitude photography is the kind of work that can express the intangible qualities of life and inspire us to live it more fully.  It is our belief that real life inspires beautiful, creative art and the more honest that art is, the more it inspires better living.  With this blog, we hope to explore the art form of photography, to grow as people, and find ways to contribute to the ever changing community of our world.  Along the way, we hope to provide a glimpse into the daily life of our studio. If you join us and read along for a while, we’d be honored if you let us know and bless us with a comment or two!

Kameron Bayne, Photographer
With an educational background in philosophy, theology, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution, the first thing you may notice about Kameron is he’s awful at small talk.  But don't let that fool you!  He really enjoys getting to know people and has a gift for sorting out complicated ideas. A true artist at heart, the beauty he sees in life is inspired most by the invisible qualities of love, faith, and hope. Once behind the camera, his quiet presence becomes a source of confidence for our clients as they invite him into a small, but significant part of their lives.

Heather Bayne, Viewing Director
Heather is a genuinely caring, technical savvy, task accomplisher and problem solver (she used to take calculus classes in college just for fun!). With a positive and upbeat attitude, she heads up each viewing premiere. She also maintains the back-end of our computer systems, helps occasionally with retouching or album design and corrects Kameron when he mispronounces words.

Brenda Block, Client Relations
Disarming, outgoing and generous–Brenda loves people and can often be found chatting with anyone from the corner grocery store clerk to the CEO of a fortune 500 company. She will be the one to help you get acquainted with our studio and walk through the entire creation process. She’ll also be there at the end to ensure you had a wonderful experience working with us.

Happy Thanksgiving

Heather and I had a quiet Thanksgiving this year without a turkey… I know! It took us a little by surprise too, but not to worry. We still spent it with family and had a good time together eating homemade noodles. Here is a picture of our traditional holiday decorations and a gift my mother was given called “Brenda Bender” – a magnetic and bendable figurine. Yes, those are pigtails.  It kind of looks like the old Domino’s Pizza character, The Noid.  Does anyone remember that one?  Anyway…

I’ve always enjoyed Thanksgiving because it’s the kind of holiday we can celebrate all year long.  But it’s nice to have a day we can stop and take a moment to verbalize what we have to be thankful for – to share with those we love what produces gratitude in us.

Evan, Westside Senior

For Evan’s senior project, he designed and created the costumes for Westside’s recent production of Romeo & Juliette.  My what extraordinary talent!  I was invited to document the last night of rehearsal as Evan hemmed buttons and made other last minute finishing touches.  I also took a couple portraits for his senior pictures.  The viewing premiere is only a couple days away – Heather and I look forward to showing the rest of the images. We hope you like them!

Brittany, Treynor High Senior

It was a cold and rainy morning for pictures, but we still found a way to get some great stuff with Brittany thanks to her endurance and determination. It helped that a local hair salon let us in to warm up and even allowed us take a few pictures with their super-cool-red-and-crackly wall. :)

Dan and Janine’s Wedding

Janine and Dan were married on September 20 at the Magnolia Hotel for a beautiful wedding celebration.  Heather and I got to know this fun, loving, and creative couple when we traveled to Iowa City for their engagement session and we had a blast!  As a creative soul and a true collaborative partner, Janine was full of ideas and suggestions to get the best possible results.  Their wedding day was no exception.  We got tons of great images and are so glad to have spent the day with Dan and Janine as they publically declared their love for each other.  To add to the fun, Corrie from Corrie and Andrey Photographers (the folks who photographed my wedding), helped as a second photographer.

Heather’s Birthday Weekend

When Heather came home from work on Friday, she was greeted by the fragrance of some flowers just for her (I’m not much of a flower guy so she was very happily surprised!). On Saturday, we celebrated with breakfast (her favorite meal no matter what time of day) at the Farm House Cafe, did a little shopping, ran some errands, ate lunch at Spaghetti Works and relaxed all afternoon at home. It was a wonderful weekend that refueled our souls and made us grateful to be alive. We even took a spontaneous Fall family picture of out on the porch swing. Fall is officially here and things will soon start to slow down for us (which means we can get caught up on everyone’s albums!). Thank you to all our clients for patiently waiting for us and allowing us a couple days off once and a while – it gives us new creative energy to finish this year out strong!
