Welcome to our blog! Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Kameron Bayne Images, Inc. is a professionally trained, award winning, creative and relational-driven photography studio. We are available for worldwide travel and aspire to create cinematic images with a soul, depth, and geniune character.

Although life extends far beyond our jobs, we are humbled and filled with gratitude photography is the kind of work that can express the intangible qualities of life and inspire us to live it more fully.  It is our belief that real life inspires beautiful, creative art and the more honest that art is, the more it inspires better living.  With this blog, we hope to explore the art form of photography, to grow as people, and find ways to contribute to the ever changing community of our world.  Along the way, we hope to provide a glimpse into the daily life of our studio. If you join us and read along for a while, we’d be honored if you let us know and bless us with a comment or two!

Kameron Bayne, Photographer
With an educational background in philosophy, theology, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution, the first thing you may notice about Kameron is he’s awful at small talk.  But don't let that fool you!  He really enjoys getting to know people and has a gift for sorting out complicated ideas. A true artist at heart, the beauty he sees in life is inspired most by the invisible qualities of love, faith, and hope. Once behind the camera, his quiet presence becomes a source of confidence for our clients as they invite him into a small, but significant part of their lives.

Heather Bayne, Viewing Director
Heather is a genuinely caring, technical savvy, task accomplisher and problem solver (she used to take calculus classes in college just for fun!). With a positive and upbeat attitude, she heads up each viewing premiere. She also maintains the back-end of our computer systems, helps occasionally with retouching or album design and corrects Kameron when he mispronounces words.

Brenda Block, Client Relations
Disarming, outgoing and generous–Brenda loves people and can often be found chatting with anyone from the corner grocery store clerk to the CEO of a fortune 500 company. She will be the one to help you get acquainted with our studio and walk through the entire creation process. She’ll also be there at the end to ensure you had a wonderful experience working with us.

Amelia, Millard North Senior

Omaha senior pictures, high school senior girlinspired fashion picture of a girl in a purple dress in front of a green leaf wallportrait of high school senior dancing in the airWe had a lot of fun with Amelia downtown for her session – I love how graceful and elegant she can jump! Like an angel, she appears to float through the air (love the geese in the background too).

Courtney, Millard North Senior

Courtney is an amazing individual. She will graduate Millard North with the most amount of credits… EVER.  Did you catch the amazing part?  EVER!  She loves to learn and has a long list of interests.  And we tried to celebrate a few of them with locations courtesy of the French Cafe, Spaghetti Works and Jackson Street Booksellers.  To top it off, Courtney has a genuine and rich friendship with her mother that really warms to the room when you’re around them.  Congratulations on making it to your senior year – we can’t wait to see you and your family at the Viewing Premiere!

Nicole, Creighton Law Student

Our friend Nicole stopped by early this morning for a couple studio shots. Nicole is a law student at Creighton and we always enjoy the tidbits she shares with us about the U.S. Constitution and Judicial system.  We also like it when she stays for breakfast.

Yesterday’s Sweetlight

My wife, Heather and my dog, PatchesWe had an impromptu photo shoot with Patches and Heather – as the sun went down, the light bounced off our house creating some beautiful light to play in for a couple minutes. It’s fun to capture some images of my family once and a while.

Zach, Millard North Senior

High school senior in business suit leaning against brick wallWe had a blast photographing Zach for his signature session! He had all sorts of ideas to bring to the table and even bought himself a used couch off Craig’s List just for the shoot. His great sense of humor had Jordan and myself laughing all day. The only downside was that Jordan was attacked by sharp and prickly stickers while holding the lights in the middle of the field. But that was quickly remedied when we were all through, because Zach shared some French Silk pie with us. Mmmm good!

Spencers Steak House

On June 10, 2008, I photographed some interiors of Spencers for Steaks and Chops inside the Hilton Garden Inn, in the Old Market on 10th and Dodge.  The owners are delightful people and I can whole heartedly recommend the food.  Without exaggeration, I can say it was the most amazing steak I’ve ever tasted!

APC by Schneider Electric and the Peter Kiewit Institute

A while back, I did some portraits of the Executive Director of the Peter Kiewit Institute – a happy client of several server cooling systems made by APC by Schneider Electric.  I really love doing commercial work!  It demands so much attention to detail, but it also allows a photographer to truly “sculpt light.”

Chris, Millard West Senior

high school senior chilling with carChris has been a friend of the family for years and he works at Fox Hollow Coffee.  For his signature plus session, we came up with all sorts of ideas to remember his senior year… hanging around the house, cooking in the kitchen, studying in the dining room, walking around the Old Market, chilling in the car, and sporting his favorite beverage: Diet Coke (coming soon!).

Mara and Pat

Mara and Pat were married on a beautiful (and warm!) day at the Magnolia Hotel.  The ceremony was outdoors in the courtyard (with a tent just in case it were to rain – thankfully it didn’t!); it was a lovely event with both Christian and Jewish traditions and great lighting conditions.  Very rarely does everything work together for a great ring shot, I love how the light glistens here on the ring just before Pat puts it on Mara’s finger.  The day was also filmed by Aaron and Molly at The Silver Screen.

Congratulations again, Mara and Pat!  I wish you well on your journey of marriage together, and look forward to seeing everyone again at the Viewing Premiere when you get back to Omaha.

Peter + Kendra

Peter had such a warm and confident presence and Kendra was kind and beautiful. Together, they had fabulous taste! The ceremony was at St. James with the reception following at the Ironwood Golf and Country Club.  Of course, we made a stop downtown for a couple fun shots before heading out onto the golf course for an impromptu bouquet toss and football game.  It was a wonderful day and we were honored to be a part of it!  Congratulations again!
