Welcome to our blog! Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Kameron Bayne Images, Inc. is a professionally trained, award winning, creative and relational-driven photography studio. We are available for worldwide travel and aspire to create cinematic images with a soul, depth, and geniune character.

Although life extends far beyond our jobs, we are humbled and filled with gratitude photography is the kind of work that can express the intangible qualities of life and inspire us to live it more fully.  It is our belief that real life inspires beautiful, creative art and the more honest that art is, the more it inspires better living.  With this blog, we hope to explore the art form of photography, to grow as people, and find ways to contribute to the ever changing community of our world.  Along the way, we hope to provide a glimpse into the daily life of our studio. If you join us and read along for a while, we’d be honored if you let us know and bless us with a comment or two!

Kameron Bayne, Photographer
With an educational background in philosophy, theology, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution, the first thing you may notice about Kameron is he’s awful at small talk.  But don't let that fool you!  He really enjoys getting to know people and has a gift for sorting out complicated ideas. A true artist at heart, the beauty he sees in life is inspired most by the invisible qualities of love, faith, and hope. Once behind the camera, his quiet presence becomes a source of confidence for our clients as they invite him into a small, but significant part of their lives.

Heather Bayne, Viewing Director
Heather is a genuinely caring, technical savvy, task accomplisher and problem solver (she used to take calculus classes in college just for fun!). With a positive and upbeat attitude, she heads up each viewing premiere. She also maintains the back-end of our computer systems, helps occasionally with retouching or album design and corrects Kameron when he mispronounces words.

Brenda Block, Client Relations
Disarming, outgoing and generous–Brenda loves people and can often be found chatting with anyone from the corner grocery store clerk to the CEO of a fortune 500 company. She will be the one to help you get acquainted with our studio and walk through the entire creation process. She’ll also be there at the end to ensure you had a wonderful experience working with us.

Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce

Early this morning we photographed the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce staff for this year’s Christmas Card. We met at 8:15am in approximately 25 degree weather, across the street from the Quest Center with a view of downtown Omaha for the sunrise. Nothing says ‘Happy Holidays’ like folks who are willing to stand out in the cold for 45 minutes with smiles on their faces. :) Seriously though, it was a good time with beautiful results. A big thanks to Kim, the organization’s Communications and Graphic Design Manager, for all her hard work in bringing the details together!

Meet Nick & Mattea

I really enjoyed getting to know this lovely couple! Nick is both cool and considerate, and Mattea is beautiful and has great personal taste. For an artful approach to their relationship; we took a walk with their dog around Lake Zorinsky, found cool spots on the Creighton Campus, and finished at the studio.

Congratulations Nick and Mattea! I’m looking forward to your wedding and can’t wait to show you the rest of the images at the viewing session.

Back from Hawaii

Hawaii Beach at SunsetHawaii Beach Sandal FootprintsHawaii Beach and Ocean Wave Surfers

We went to Hawaii, well Oahu to be specific. I can’t think of anywhere where I’d rather be, especially since it started snowing here today in Omaha. We had a grand time visiting. There are simply endless possibilities for beautiful images. Kameron and I drove around the island, visited Waikiki, ate pineapple, relaxed, and found remote beaches where could play and explore (always with our camera in hand.) In fact, on our last day we drove to the north shore (where the waves were rumored to be huge) – and I sat down to get some pictures of surfers. While I was sitting in the sand a tiny puppy bounced over and bit my toe. An unsuspecting welcome, but a very cute one none the less.

2007 NCCAA Division II Volleyball National Tournament

Grace University’s girl’s volleyball team is going to the division championship tournament today. The 2007 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division II Volleyball National Tournament, that is. And Kameron Bayne Images is going to provide official photography coverage of the event (November 8-10). We’ll have a booth on display at the campus and an ad on the back of the program… May the best girls win!

Joe & Jenny

I’ve known Joe for years… in fact, the first time I met him was at his high school graduation party. Do you remember that Joe? My time has flown by! – since then Joe has become an accomplished musician (and a savvy computer tech guy) and has played for a number of area bands from Pedestrian, Arbor Vitae, to Adam Weaver and the Ghosts to name a few. And now Joe’s getting married to Jenny (a hard working elementary teacher)! Here a few images from our engagement session.

Chris & Rachel

We went out to the spot of their first date together and re-enacted their first kiss. Rachel was so adorable and kept saying, “Do it again!”I love knowing people over a span of time, because it’s only after an accumulation of shared experiences that the depth of who we are begins to emerge. We photographed Chris and Rachel’s wedding last December while on break from Hallmark, and we’re grateful to have known them before they were married, as they got married and now coming up on their first anniversary. As they change, it’s interesting how the photographs change with them.

It was a little chilly outside so afterwards we went to Jimmy John’s to warm up. Mmm, mmm, good bread!
