Welcome to our blog! Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Kameron Bayne Images, Inc. is a professionally trained, award winning, creative and relational-driven photography studio. We are available for worldwide travel and aspire to create cinematic images with a soul, depth, and geniune character.

Although life extends far beyond our jobs, we are humbled and filled with gratitude photography is the kind of work that can express the intangible qualities of life and inspire us to live it more fully.  It is our belief that real life inspires beautiful, creative art and the more honest that art is, the more it inspires better living.  With this blog, we hope to explore the art form of photography, to grow as people, and find ways to contribute to the ever changing community of our world.  Along the way, we hope to provide a glimpse into the daily life of our studio. If you join us and read along for a while, we’d be honored if you let us know and bless us with a comment or two!

Kameron Bayne, Photographer
With an educational background in philosophy, theology, interpersonal communication and conflict resolution, the first thing you may notice about Kameron is he’s awful at small talk.  But don't let that fool you!  He really enjoys getting to know people and has a gift for sorting out complicated ideas. A true artist at heart, the beauty he sees in life is inspired most by the invisible qualities of love, faith, and hope. Once behind the camera, his quiet presence becomes a source of confidence for our clients as they invite him into a small, but significant part of their lives.

Heather Bayne, Viewing Director
Heather is a genuinely caring, technical savvy, task accomplisher and problem solver (she used to take calculus classes in college just for fun!). With a positive and upbeat attitude, she heads up each viewing premiere. She also maintains the back-end of our computer systems, helps occasionally with retouching or album design and corrects Kameron when he mispronounces words.

Brenda Block, Client Relations
Disarming, outgoing and generous–Brenda loves people and can often be found chatting with anyone from the corner grocery store clerk to the CEO of a fortune 500 company. She will be the one to help you get acquainted with our studio and walk through the entire creation process. She’ll also be there at the end to ensure you had a wonderful experience working with us.

Dan & Danielle

After weeks of gloom and rain, the weather was beautiful for Dan and Danielle’s wedding last Saturday! I had a wonderful time with them – they were a joy to be around and had a way of making everyone else feel comfortable too. Best of all, I think we got some amazing images!

Despite an attack with the birdseed (if you look closely, you can see an over zealous youngster sling some right into Danielle’s mouth!), I’d say the day was a wonderful success.

Mark, Millard North Senior

I’m very privileged to have met Mark; he is a fascinating young man! Several months ago, he helped model for me with a school assignment from Hallmark, so we invited him into the studio for a complementary session. Mark has a strong, yet sensitive, generous and helpful spirit about him. From what I can tell, he is extremely bright, mature beyond his years, he loves theology and studying the Scriptures and has a profound confidence in Jesus. He also likes to dabble in photography – we got along great! Here are some images we came up with on the fly…

Bridal Production Shoot

To develop our portfolio (and collaborate with our fellow vendors), we staged a little bridal shoot. We had a team of people help us put this together – all of whom were extremely valuable in turning it into a reality. Thanks to Jenny, our lovely model, Judy at Bridal Traditions for providing the dresses, Sheila at Blooms for donating the flowers, and Jason with La Cabana Cigars for the location. And last, but not least, thanks to Will and Heather for being wonderful assistants.Keep a look out for these images, as you might be seeing more of them around town! ;)

Meet Dan & Danielle

We walked around the Creighton Campus finding great light and making beautiful photographs! Heather and I had a wonderful time with these two – they’re laid back and quite fun to be around. At one point, Dan and Danielle raced each other all the while joking and making false starts trying to catch the other off guard… Dan won (I think he cheated!), but all in good fun!

We couldn’t of asked for a more beautiful day. Hopefully the weather will cooperate on the actual wedding day!

Roberto, Millard West Senior

Roberto came and did a basic session with us for his senior portraits. He is on his way to becoming a gourmet chef when he goes off to culinary school next year. He also plays a mean game of paintball (I’d be scared to face him on the field!), and he loves his Hyundai.

Overall, I think we got a great range of amazing images – from somber and moody to casual with beaming smiles. It’s hard work to smile a golden smile for the camera, but Roberto made it look easy in the finished images. I hope he is as proud as we are!

The Omaha Bridal Show

I can’t believe a week has already gone by since the Omaha Bridal Show at the Holiday Inn Convention Center (72nd & Grover)!Kameron and I only found out about this opportunity a few weeks earlier. We didn’t have much time to prepare, but Kameron worked really hard, and several (absolutely wonderful!) people helped us out. We put together some sample albums and cool metallic prints for the background display we borrowed (thanks to David of Photography by David & Elizabeth). And Kathy Wolfe, a friend of the family, came out to support us just because she liked our work so much. Thanks Kathy!Although it all happened so fast, it was an awesome experience. At the show, we met some great people in the wedding industry; Amanda Wilson of Nebraska Wedding Magazine, Angela Brant of In the Details Events, Stewart Alexander of One Source Event Productions, and Vernetta Boston with InPlay. We also met other area photographers like Shane Dwyer of MDP Photography, Tammie Dickens of Imagery Photography, and Terry Cue of Images by TLC.We also met close to 60 brides (and a few grooms too) as they looked for ideas, vendors, and great food samples! There’s something electric about so many on the verge of marriage. This show reminded us of how much we love our jobs! We love photography: beautiful creative shots, timeless moments, the best technology, and finding new ways to translate the small as well as significant moments onto a page. But more than just photography, we love working with people during this time of their life. I love hearing stories of first dates, embarrassing moments, proposals, large and small families, fun traditions, and so much more. Talking to couples as they came through the show reminded me how fun it is to be in the wedding photography business! We didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the booth, but here are some of our new Fine Art Album we brought with us.
